Dellent is a consulting company focused in System Information and Telecommunications. Our goal is to help our candidates and consultants to take a step forward in their careers through projects that meet their needs and expectations.

This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, and currently has its technological hub in Porto and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to work in this project in Lisbon (Hybrid).

Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field;
-Between 6 and 9 years of experience;
-Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Semarchy, Stambia, Talend, DataStage, or similar);
-Ability to design and maintain data integration processes;
-Proficient SQL skills;
-Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake) and data modeling concepts;
-Experience with VTOM or Virtual-M (or comparable job orchestration/workload automation tools); ability to schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs;
-Knowledge of UNIX/Linux scripting (shell scripting, awk, sed, Python as a plus) for automation and data processing tasks;
-Data engineering mindset: knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT patterns, data quality, data lineage, and metadata management;
-Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities;
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
-French-speaking is a plus;
-Ability to collaborate with French-speaking stakeholders and teams;
-Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

-Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP) and cloud-native ETL tools;
-Familiarity with data governance, data cataloging, and security practices;
-Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus;
-Understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
